Work on the other hand is about to get very very busy. See, when you are self employed, you can go on vacation whenever you want. Sometimes I joke that my boss is a hard ass.... hahaha, but really she kinda is! The downside is that when taking 4 weeks off, and being the person I am, I want to get everyone in before going on vacation and I CANNOT say no. There has been many nights I've rolled in the door a few hours after I've said I'd be home and Jordan just looks at me as I collapse on the couch with a glass of wine and says " You were squeezing someone in?".
Back to Jordan, he's wonderful. He is so supportive of his hard working fiance. He knows how much I love my job an education. He loves to travel with me down south to San Diego for my conferences every year, even though he won't see me for two days straight! He drives downtown to come get me almost every day of the week so that I am safe, because I take the bus in the morning to save money. He complains that I am making him fat so that he can't run away because of all the baking I do, but secretly loves it, especially when I make carrot muffins or oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I found a great match and I am so excited to become a Young. Mostly so I can go around singing Rod Steward " Forever Young". But also that I am joining a family that has very similar values, a family that loves getting together and playing Kaiser until all hours of the night, and a family that always has great food on the table. And more importantly, a family that belly laughs!
So enough gushing, cause' I know you are probably getting jealous.
Thank you to everyone in advance for allowing me the time to enjoy a honeymoon and wedding!
Have an awesome summer!
